Pankaj is a thoughtful and analytically rigorous advisor who combines financial oversight, strategic insight and consumer-products expertise with a practical understanding of how organizations operate. He works with companies and boards facing periods of growth, transformation and operational complexity.
As founder and managing director of SC Ventures, Pankaj serves as an investor, manager and board advisor to companies requiring transformation and growth strategies. He has also been retained by boards to serve as Interim CEO or President of distressed companies, including Patient Planning Services, where he led an operational turnaround, identified growth in new product categories and helped select the permanent CEO.
Board & Investor Experience
Pankaj is serving a second term on the board of Waséyabek Development Company and chairs its Audit Committee. He also serves on the board of Ballou, a European public relations firm. His prior board work includes MUBIC and Enzo Bevande, and he has advised boards and investors on strategic execution, public-company governance and complex transactions.
Operating Track Record
Pankaj began SC Ventures in 2001 as a search fund through which he acquired Affinitel, a San Francisco-based telecommunications service provider. As CEO for eight years, he delivered 100% revenue growth and more than 200% cash-flow growth in the first 24 months, while paying off acquisition debt three-and-a-half years ahead of schedule.
Community & Education
Pankaj is Chairman of Crossroads 4 Hope and has served in leadership roles with the Turnaround Management Association and the Cancer Support Community. Since 2012, he has been an adjunct professor in the MBA program at Rutgers Business School.
He graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
